Took a sick day and spotted our little old lady. In the rain. In a mustard sweater.
The camera wouldn’t focus when I tried taking photos, so I tried another approach.
I am surprised and pleased by how creepy it turned out.

I’m seriously concerned that I scared the little old ladies. I’m still working 9-5 and don’t generally get home before 6:00 or 6:30, but I haven’t seen them even on the sunniest of days.
I’m worried that the few accidental flashes from my camera have scared them into seclusion. Will post updates in the coming weeks.
I’m sorry I’ve been away for so long.
I’ve recently started a job, you see (temp, but with possibility of becoming permanent), and it keeps me away from my couch and window during the sunny hours when the ladies are most likely to rest on their sills.
Even when I have managed to get home early, I’ve noticed their presence has lessened and sometimes I wonder if several of my accidental flash photos have had anything to do with their newfound shyness.
The photos posted from now on will be more rare, certainly, but I will continue this project as best I can, reporting to you whenever I spy these pretty redred birds.
